The kindergarteners are doing all of the fall things! 🍁🎃 Yesterday, Colleen Pallas came to teach us our first Project Learning Tree lesson where we learned how to tell a tree by its leaf and why leaves change colors and fall! Today, we read Jeb Scarecrow's Pumpkin Patch and helped carve a real pumpkin together. We had fun feeling the goop and seeds and seeing our happy Jack-o'-Lantern face!

Student Council members Graci, Taytum, Emily, Josie, and Jessa represented our school at this year’s Trunk or Treat event, featuring the theme CandyLand. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with families and enjoyed seeing all the children in their creative costumes. 🎃

Through hands-on learning activities, students explored and developed a deeper understanding of the skills required for careers in manufacturing and engineering. They also had the opportunity to collaborate with peers to plan, construct, and test a functional product. Landan and his partner designed a catapult using popsicle sticks, a balloon, tape, a small plastic cup, and a stirring stick. Their device performed exceptionally well—earning first place in the catapult challenge by successfully launching 17 ping pong balls into the inflatable pool. Students also had the opportunity to create a card holder and plaque, as well as assemble a fully functioning Ethernet cable, among many other activities!
