JAG Nebraska students from across the state gathered at the CHI Health Center in Omaha to strengthen their leadership skills, connect with peers and gain valuable insights to help prepare them for future success.

Representing Osceola were our 2026-2027 JAG Officers. Middle School students are Evelyn Christy, Kaiylen Baloun, and Gracyn Schrier, and High School students are Will Peterson, Leland Rice, and Myah Sanley.

Throughout the day, JAG students heard form Don Eckles, co-founder of Scooter's Coffee, who shared his experiences and insights as our keynote speaker. They also participated in breakout sessions focused on developing new skills and building confidence as future leaders. They also heard campaign speeches from their peers and cast their votes for the 2026–27 JAG Nebraska State Officers, putting leadership and decision-making into action!

JAG tudents attended Construction Career Day at Dozer Day at Christensen Field in Fremont, Nebraska, to explore careers in construction, excavation, underground utilities, and related industries. Throughout the day, students rotated through hands-on activity stations and career booths, gaining exposure to construction equipment, technology, and safety practices. Activities included fiber fusion, a skid steer obstacle course, GPS and survey technology, transit and measuring equipment, mini excavator basketball, and a construction career simulator trailer. Students also participated in an underground construction safety hunt, working in small teams to identify and learn about important construction safety practices. Students had opportunities to interact with industry professionals, ask questions about career pathways, and learn about the education, training, certifications, and apprenticeship opportunities available in the construction industry. This field trip provided students with real-world career exploration, hands-on learning, and exposure to the technical skills and workplace safety knowledge needed for success in construction-related careers.
