On Friday, April 24th, the High School Band, along with four 8th graders, participated in the District Music Competition at Columbus High School. They came home with a 1 rating with an amazing performance! Super proud of all their hard work! 🎶

Our 7th-grade students had an incredible learning experience during their visit to the Polk County Courthouse. They participated in a mock trial, with students taking on roles such as judge, bailiff, attorneys, and jurors, gaining a deep understanding of the court process and the importance of each role. In addition to the mock trial, they toured the court section of the courthouse, exploring key areas such as the judge's chambers, the jury room, and the record-keeping offices. They even had the opportunity to see a jail cell within the courthouse. This immersive visit gave them a firsthand look at the justice system and the vital roles that support it.
Huge thank you to Jodie Roberts, Clerk Magistrate, and Mykaela Dishong, Assistant Clerk Sr., for providing this valuable learning opportunity year after year.
