Mission Statement

The Osceola Public Schools Counseling Program strives to deliver developmentally appropriate programs in the schools to provide students with the academic, social-emotional, and career development skills they need for responsibility and success beyond graduation. The school counseling program aligns with the Nebraska Department of Education, CASEL Framework, and ASCA National Model. Programming is designed to promote equitable access for students and support diverse learners.

Graduation Requirements
Board Policy 6005 - Academic Credits and Graduation

Here are the graduation requirements from Osceola Senior High:

  • 4 years of English

  • 3 years of Math (to go to UNL, one must have Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and one class above Algebra II)

  • 3 years of Science (Physical Science, Biology, and an elective Science course)

  • 3 years of Social Studies (Government is required)

  • 2 years of Health/PE

  • 1 year of Computer

  • 1 semester of Speech

**for 4 year colleges and universities, it is recommended a student take at least 2 years of world languages (the same language) before graduating from high school
***Transfer students may have different requirements based upon time of transfer and courses taken at prior school.

240 total credits are required
