Behavioral Points of Contact
The information provided here is aligned to Osceola Public Schools Board Policy which supports Behavioral Requirements as set forth by Nebraska Statutes.
Each behavioral awareness and health point of contact in our staff directory are identified and will be trained in behavioral awareness and health and have knowledge of community service providers and other resources that are available for the students and families in the District. These contacts are in the handbook as well and are reported to the state.
The following links are the District's current registry of local mental health and counseling resources for students and parents.
In addition, all District employees who interact with students, as determined by the Superintendent, shall receive at least one hour of behavioral and mental health training with a focus on suicide awareness and prevention training each year. The Superintendent or designee shall be responsible for coordinating this training.
