Welcome to my home page. I graduated from Peru State College with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I received my Special Education endorsement and Masters in Literacy with a Reading Coach endorsement from Concordia University. I currently teach 6th through 12 grade Special Education. I also serve as a Student Council Sponsor with Mr. Maynard
I am a graduate of Osceola High School and returned to my hometown in 2002 with my two sons Eli and Caleb. Before returning to teaching I previously worked for Opportunity Living, a non-profit organization for mentally and physically handicapped residents.
During the 2015 - 2016 School year I completed the STEPS (Strategies and Techniques for Effective Practice in Schools) training offered by the Autism Spectrum Disorder network of Nebraska. As an action plan strategy for this course I developed and presented reading strategies at the state autism confernece held in Omaha.
