State One Act

This year the Osceola One Act play, Two Faced A Tradegy... Sort Of, made it to state.  The humorous play can't be done without a great main character, Mary Whatsername, Macy Gustafson.  Or a cool head cheerleader, Brad DeMers, with his great moves.  And a stupid love interest, that never knows whats going on, Derek Voigt.  All of these actors won awards for their dancing, drive, and stupidity.  But the story can't go on without a admirer, cool friend, annoying brother, a creative girl, a goth girl, sassy cheerleaders, math nerds, and a mean math coach.  And behind the scenes was the amazing crew who turned the music on at the percise second, set the stage up and worked the lights.

This cast faced difficult competition at state like Wausa, Mullen, and Brady.  Wausa's play was about the Crucifixion, Mullen's play was called Jane Erye: Life at Lowood, and Brady's play was named Unsound Effects. Brady came in third place.  And Wausa's production got first.  Osceola got second.  After a lot of long practices, and dealing with Mrs. Erhart's yelling we claimed second against a great production.  Our crew also won the Outstanding Technical Crew which was a suprise since Connor Pinney and Caden Theis always joked that they were going to get it.  So all in all the One Act season was a success with all the acting awards, Outstanding Tech Crew  one first multiple, seconds, and a fifth.
