Space -String Art

May 05, 2018

String art is a fun, easy way to make a colorful picture by wrapping thread or embroidery floss around pins or nails. To do string art on  wood, cut out a design from a piece of paper and attach it to your surface. Hammer nails into your surface along the edge of your design. Remove your paper once you have all the nails in place, then weave colored string from nail to nail. You can either wrap the string around the nails haphazardly or make a pattern. The patterns are called cross over, edging, and outline.
