November Counselor Update

November 05, 2017

Seniors!!! You have potentially two more times to take the ACT if you are going to a four-year college or university. December and February are the last two times schools will accept your scores, and some schools do NOT accept February scores. If you need to register for the October test, you can still do so, but you will have to pay late fees.

November 3rd-Deadline to register for the December 9th test

January 12th-Deadline to register for the February 10th test

Class rank will be updated in January. Also, colleges will need your seventh-semester transcripts, so please request those in writing in January. Current transcripts are still being worked on in PowerSchool, but I can get one done for you if you are desperate.

Congratulations!!!

Senior Derek Voigt has been named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition. He is currently preparing for the finalist competition. We are so very proud of Derek and all of his academic accomplishments. This represents hours of hard work and preparation, but well worth the efforts! We wish him the best of luck on his upcoming SAT's as he completes for a National Merit Finalist award. Only 1% of students across the nation are selected for this honor. We are proud to have one of these students this year!

Scholarship reminder

Remember that no scholarships will be turned into the counseling office, but are, instead, mailed directly to the scholarship committee. You should always include a transcript and ACT scores with your application unless it specifically states not to. Please allow 2-3 school days for your transcripts and ACT scores to be prepared.
