Wanted Head Maintenance/Bus Coordinator!

Position Immediately Available!

The following information describes some of the duties of this position, but is not an all inclusive list. The successful candidate needs to be a very personable individual as they will be meeting and working with patrons, staff and students from prekindergarten to seniors in many different settings as well as managing janitorial staff.  The position is an integral part to the successful operation of the district, which is why the district is looking for a hard working, loyal individual that takes pride in the job that they do.

The primary duties of this individual are the maintenance of the district's three buildings and grounds, which include a Middle/High School facility with gym, an Elementary facility with small gym, and an older auditorium facility and a Football/Track complex.  Snow removal, tree trimming and play ground maintenance are a few of the outdoor responsibilities.  Indoor responsibilities include maintaining electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) systems.  Two buildings have updated forced air systems while the elementary has a new boiler system.

The other major responsibility of this position will be to coordinate bus and vehicle usage in the district.  This will also require that the successful candidate have a CDL/Bus license or be willing to get one.  All cost in acquiring such license would be at the expense of the district.  While the district has professional supports in place for the building systems (i.e. electrical, plumbing, boilers, etc.) and equipment (i.e. tractors, mowers, buses, etc.), handyman/mechanical skills would enhance a person's candidacy.

Osceola is a Google school, making knowledge of Google products (i.e. Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc) desirable.  Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro are also available and used by the staff to communicate and manipulate electronic documents.  In general, a candidate that is computer savvy and able to adapt to new computer technologies, troubleshooting issues that may develop becomes a more desirable candidate.

The position is available immediately.  This is a full time position with longer hours when school is in session and more flexible summer hours.  The job includes benefits such as paid holidays, sick leave and insurance.  Pay is negotiable with experience and skills.

To become a viable candidate, send a completed Osceola application (which can be found by going to http://www.osceolaschools.org and, finding the FORMS tab and downloading and saving Classified Employee Application to your computer), along with a letter of application, resume and additional references to:

            Steven A. Rinehart, Superintendent

            PO Box 198

            Osceola, NE 68651

Position will remain open until filled.  Osceola Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
